Abstract :
A laboratory test using the Hughes´s built single-axis scan mirror demonstration unit was conducted to generate test data which were used to validate the previously developed on-orbit inductosyn cyclic error calibration concept. This paper describes the test set-up, the test data, and the calibration results. Based on the obtained results, the author believes that the technical feasibility of applying the proposed on-orbit calibration scheme to meet the 0.5 micro radian inductosyn cyclic error requirement has been demonstrated
