Abstract
A general purpose Data Communication Simulator (DCS) has been built to model the physical behaviour of a complete transmission system for different line codes for copper twisted-pair and radio-mobile channels under the many possible parameters of the hardware modules. It features rapidity of configuration change, ease of use and the ability to concatenate a variety of transmission systems and codes to reflect a heterogeneous transmission network
