Abstract :
Many approaches have been proposed for intrusion detection. This paper suggests that an intrusion detection system (IDS) must be fault tolerant; otherwise, the intruder may first subvert the IDS then attack the target system at will. This paper proposes a system architecture to enhance the attack tolerance of IDS
