Abstract :
Cable of street lamp thefts are increasing alarmingly around the world, thus the public utilities is brought to a great deal of troubles and danger. Traditional anti-theft monitoring and location systems however bear some limitations. For improvement, two models and equivalent circuits of high voltage sodium lamp are presented in this paper. Then, two methods of tracking resonance frequency are proposed. Finally, the measured frequency and the measured number of street lamp are calculated to distinguish the cable of street lamp is stolen or not, and detect the location. Simulation results show that the proposed two methods are simple and correct.
