Abstract
In this report, we propose a noise reduction method in the frequency domain for speech enhancement. Additive noise in a speech signal is suppressed by this method using running spectrum filtering (RSF). RSF is digital filtering in the frequency domain. The noise reduction method using RSF does not need estimated noise spectra. We propose a method of reducing the musical noise generated by speech noise reduction which uses RSF. Our experimental results show that musical noise is reduced using RSF.
