  • Abstract
Geoditics are looking at hexapods for robot applications. In contrast to other developers, Geoditics´ hexapod has eight degrees of freedom which dramatically improves dexterity. In the paper the author discusses: working volume; dexterity; gearing; stiffness and size; universal joints; drive mechanics; calibration and service; synchronous control; and estimated building costs
