  • Abstract
A wide band asymmetric double t-type microstrip dipole antenna for integrated circuits such as MMIC is designed and fabricated. A new configuration for a wide band microstrip dipole antenna with an omni-directional pattern is proposed. By properly choosing the gap of dipoles and the length of the upper dipole, the center frequency of about 700 MHz can be shifted. The antenna impedance bandwidth of 450 MHz can be obtained for using a IMT2000 frequency band. The characteristics of the proposed antenna were analyzed using FDTD methods.
