  • Abstract
The authors develop a model to study the behavior of a system synchronized by a windowing protocol when conditional events are allowed into the computation stream. The model accurately predicts the probability that a typical LP in the system will make it to a given step without faulting. Using this probability an extrapolating system performance gives what is expected to be an upper bound on system performance. The model gives the probability of a causality error at a given step. Results from simulation studies which validate the model are given
