Abstract :
One most challenging issue is compactly encoding a huge 3D model data into a 2D image data. We discuss enhancement of its process speed by proposing a method for a cylindrical-mapping of 3D models which maps a model to a cylindrical image quickly. Our method is based on projection-type, not the ray tracing-type generally used, and makes it possible to encode models faster.
