Abstract :
Use of mobile agents [6, 11] is the topic of great discussion in the cloud computing space. Mobile agents in clouds [12] and Grid based system can work in such a way that the management of the elasticity is maintained by the mobile agents themselves. This paper proposes a concept of having an executor service which can grow by size and nodes and shrink by itself without any need of a specific node manager. In proposing the concept, JADE [5] platform is chosen to provide the reference architecture. Some similar work has been done on this topic like Cloud Agency [1], Runtime Efficiency of Adaptive Mobile Software Agents in Pervasive Computing Environments [4], Agent Teamwork: Coordinating Grid-Computing Jobs with Mobile Agents [2].These give a framework perspective of mobile agents for a grid and cloud based system. However, this paper provides a solution for elastic [13] distributed executor service which can be deployed on grid, cloud or any cluster. It provides reference architecture to develop such a service with mobile agents.
