Abstract :
Psychologist David Ausubel (1968) has developed a theory of meaningful learning in which skills have been developed for structuring courses and presentations to increase the mental activities of the students. How can this traditional model of teaching “Advance Organizer” be embedded in the present educational settings in which the proliferation of online course designs has changed the learning and teaching environments for our students and professors (LaPointe, L. & Reisetter, M., 2008)? This paper is an explorative study of how a forty-year-old teaching model can be applied in designing “Web Design” online course for students in a business college.
