  • Abstract
As every 3D Particle in Cell simulation the analysis of a magnetron is usually a time consuming task. There exist several simulation tricks to speed this up. But sometimes the natural start up process is of interest. To obtain the results in a reasonable time a parallelization by means of graphical processing units (GPU) can be used. This has been implemented in the latest version of CST STUDIO SUITE™ and the benefits within a magnetron analysis are presented in this paper.
