Abstract :
A planar conical-beam antenna is investigated in this paper, for application on LEO satellites. Conical beam pattern help compensate the free space loss (FSL) when the satellite is moving from horizon-to-horizon. Microstrip patch design simulation studies are carried with ENSEMBLE 7.0 measurements are taken with network analyzer and measurement setup in anechoic chamber.
