  • Abstract
At present, the only reason for feeding live, unstructured image sequences into a computer is to redisplay them. Automatic video annotation systems promise to make the availability of such video more useful. This paper describes a modular, real-time vision service suitable for a type of automatic annotation. The service picks out and tracks moving objects in video taken from moving cameras. Such vision services are intended to provide the foundations of real-time video annotation systems
