Abstract
The observation of a technology improvement for the use of traveling wave tubes (TWT) in a combined intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) with a fire control system (FCS). The improvement was identified by Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, IN personnel at various industry conferences and symposiums in which the applicable ISR situations and missions can change instantly from a passive ISR to a mode where FCS is needed. This paper presents multiple design approaches for the TWT or microwave tube system.
