            Abstract : 
Image registration methods based on geometric features have good prospects in a wide range of applications due to its faster execution. A novel fast image registration method based on rigid body dynamics is presented in this paper. In this method, edge points of the model image generate a pseudo elasticity field. Acted by the elasticity forces in the field, edges of floating image move and finally stop on the registration position. The method in this paper has excellent runtime performance, due to its rapid convergence, without stochastic trials that are often employed in general optimization algorithms
