Abstract :
This report describes a real-time can sorting application using a sheet-of-light range imaging algorithm on the MAPP2200 smart sensor camera. The camera outputs range data with a maximum frequency of 800 KHz. The range data are automatically corrected, and uncertain data are removed. We acquire range images of fish conserves passing on a conveyor belt and finds the orientation of up to ten cans per second
