Abstract
This paper deals with the data fusion technique for merging optical and radar images of SPOT and ERS-1 satellites respectively. The best is made of multiresolution analysis to produce superimposed images. It is first used to eliminate speckles on the radar image, then applied to automatic selection or ground control points for image navigation and superimposition, as well as for resampling in the change of geographical frame. The benefit of the construction of a set of superimposed data is illustrated
