Abstract
Design features of a 76dB gain 50% efficiency TW klystron, including an asynchronous interaction output circuit, and the technique used to fully suppress fundamental mode near-neighbour parasitic oscillations, are described; and performance characteristics of a high power 17 GHz dual resonant ring high gradient linac test system are presented.
