Abstract :
This paper presents a study of a DC-DC power supply which employs a resonant topology operating at high frequency (in MHz) in order to improve the reliability and to reduce the size of the finished product. ESE and SAFT worked together to set up the 100 W/1 MHz power supply which was financed by FRANCE TELECOM. It is a forward type power supply with voltage multi-resonance. The study was extended in order to develop a 500 W/1 MHz power supply. The authors therefore made various choices regarding the structure, the type of resonance and the components used
