Abstract
Digital telecommunications systems are being deployed rapidly in Japan to provide various telecommunications services including basic ISDN. To control and manage these systems small computers are used that need an uninterruptible supply of AC power. To meet this need the authors have developed a new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) having the design goals of reduced installation space, enhanced electrical characteristics and lower overall cost. This paper describes the configuration, features and electrical characteristics of the new UPS
