Abstract :
The authors describe how, in order to solve the current sharing problem in a telecommunications power system based on modular rectifiers, without the use of any additional electronics, whilst at the same time using a standard method to control the current that feeds the load and the battery, Alcatel Standard Electrica has implemented and developed a rectifier control scheme based on the use of a common and external error amplifier with a voltage reference controlled by a microcontroller for use in their intelligent power systems. This paper describes the main characteristics, advantages and features of this method, emphasizing those points needed to acquire precise management of batteries and energy
