Abstract :
A 0.14 THz Watt level folded waveguide traveling wave tube was designed and optimized by CST simulation, including folded waveguide structure, electron gun, periodic permanent magnet, input-output structure, box window and beam-wave interactions. The design results showed over 6 Watt output power. In order to validate the flux rate of electrons, a flux tube was fabricated and tested. Results showed the flux rate was over 80%, preliminarily verifying the rationality of the design.
