Abstract :
This paper presents a new algorithm for fast calculation of the wave propagation in tapered gyrotron launchers. A scalar diffraction method for tapered launchers with adaptive surface perturbation is presented for the first time. The verification of the algorithm is done by comparison to a commercial 3D full-wave code that solves the Electric Field Integral Equation (EFIE).
