Abstract
Summary form only given. The generation of atmospheric noise in a high-frequency software-channel simulator is studied as a particular implementation of the generalized impulsive-noise model. Results are obtained with a phase-shift-keyed (PSK) modem simulator and compared with reported measurements on a similar modem and channel simulator.<>
