Abstract :
Flash memory based high capacity SSDs open the doors for large enterprise applications for better performance and high reliability. According to our knowledge, this is the first research in this area that presents the relevancy of SSD characteristics with storage features of large enterprise applications like data warehouses and data marts. We implement the architecture of data storage in and data retrieval from flash memory based SSDs for such applications. We prove less overhead with high reliability, and more throughput compare to hard disk drives.
