Abstract :
In this paper, we numerically and experimentally compare three different kinds of dispersion management techniques for 160-Gb/s transmission systems. We experimentally show that, at constant PMD, dense dispersion management (DDM) offers an improvement of 50% of the maximum transmission distance compared with the classical dispersion management.
