Abstract :
This paper presents an ISOFLUX pattern antenna with a novel matching transition suitable for X-band satellite data transmission. A novel waveguide transition with inset structure for reducing the reflection and length of waveguide are proposed and investigated. In addition to the development of a septum polarizer, waveguide transition and choke-ring radiator, it will be shown that the desired electrical performances like a radiation pattern mask and return loss are satisfied through properly optimized parameters of inset in waveguide transition.
