Abstract :
This paper describes a simple, fast and accurate method for the design of coupler for helix TWTs, using a simulation approach. It shows that a coupler can be analysed and optimized without modelling of a matching attenuator or user generated perfect matched boundary at the sever end. The proposed method not only considerably reduces the computational time but also provides exact results for the coupler performance.
