Abstract :
High-quality real-time traffic information is essential for navigation client to provide good services, but based on our field test results, it is found that at present real-time traffic information in China is not satisfying enough. Therefore, to improve the accuracy of navigation services, it is necessary for client to process low-quality traffic data by itself. This paper introduces a method to enhance traffic data in navigation client by cleansing irregular data and compensating lacking data. The proposed method considers resource limit in navigation client and experimental result shows that it can obviously increase average link coverage rate and reduce average error rate of travel time.
