Abstract :
Two bi-access stacked patch antennas for opportunistic applications are presented. The first antenna has the same band 1.785-2.2 GHz (PCS, UMTS) on the two ports with polarization diversity. The second antenna has two bands. In this case the first port covers 1.84-2.2 GHz band (PCS, UMTS). The second port covers 2.23-2.72 GHz band (WLAN). The innovation lies from a part in the multi-band multi-access operation for future opportunistic communications and in the wideband characteristic of the structure and its compactness. From the other part, the innovation lies in the fact that stacked patches, traditionally with one port, are realized in this article with two ports. Simulation and measurement results are proposed.
