Abstract :
IP telephony is one of the basic communication services in the next generation network. The network interworking between IP and PSTN network including wireless network is an important function for providing IP telephony service. In H.323 network, the H.323 gatekeepers are responsible for the internetworking functions. We compose a H.323 network to provide IP telephony service for customers. We propose a Network Element Management System (EMS) focuses on gatekeepers that control user terminal and managing information about it. The gatekeepers are very important components. The EMS system is simple to use and gives both MIB data and gatekeeper specific information. In addition, our system monitors gatekeepers in real-time and gives remote control to operate them.
