Abstract :
A conceptual design feasibility study of the Ka-band communication payload for Satellite Communication (SATCOM) System that to be applied to the Communication, Oceanographic, and Meteorological Satellite (COMS) was performed with emphasis on the improving performances in the rain fading. The ETRI-SATCOM system is comprised of the communication payload, the satellite ground control system, and communication test earth station including network monitoring and supervising functions; and various external interfaces including a launch service to place the satellite into a geostationary orbit.
