Abstract :
The new engineering education demands a change in the traditional way of conceiving the academic programs which not only should take into account knowledge but also the process of consultation for finding out abilities, attitudes and values. Once you have implemented a methodology for defining those integrative outcomes, the greater impact for the fulfilment of this new profile is the direct contact among the professor and the students, formally called teaching-learning process; which also requires to be re-engineered. However, the evaluation of the fulfilment of this new profile could be done through several methodologies sometimes isolated. The Monterrey Tech (ITESM), Queretaro Campus (CQ), has implemented an innovative methodology for the development of profiles based on the integration of knowledge, abilities and attitudes in sentences of conducts. This methodology has been presented at Frontiers In Education (FIE) 2001 and follows the constituencies consultation as suggested in the Engineering Criteria (EC) 2000. This work in progress will propose a methodology for assessing this new profile of the electronics engineering academic program developed in Monterrey Tech, Queretaro Campus.
