Abstract
The prospects to combine AO and OCT both theoretically and experimentally are presented. The possibility to significantly improve the performance of ophthalmic UHR OCT systems by means of AO is proved. Moreover, the expected transversal resolution when using larger pupil sizes in the eye in combination with AO should enable the study for the first time of many retinal structures never detected before in the living retina
