Abstract :
Information Communication Technology (ICT) has been largely implemented in government organizations, and electronic government (e-Government) has become popular. However, prior research mainly focuses on e-Government adoption from the perspective of citizens, and little research has been conducted from the government employee perspectives. The current research attempted to explore the motivators for the government employees to use e-Government. We conducted an empirical survey in three government organizations in China. Our theoretical model is based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Structural equation modeling was used in the current study to test the research model. The result reveals that performance expectancy influences employees´ behavioral intention, which finally affects user behavior. Moreover, facilitating conditions affect the use of ICT in government organizations.
