Abstract :
MPLS is regarded as a universal platform that can integrate various networks built on the different types of L2 media and support multiservice including voice and video as well as data. As a result, the various scenarios of internetworking between MPLS network and other networks including non-MPLS networks have been considered. In this paper, we propose a reference model of the MPLS network internetworking based on layered architecture and define the functions of each network element such as MPLS routers, LSPs, UNIs and NNIs.
