Abstract :
In order to break through the problems of performance evaluation in public decision-making, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used in this paper. With the analysis of operating process of AHP approach, the problems such as difficult presentation of systematic evaluation information, difficult quantification of performance index and difficult realization of effective comprehensive evaluation in performance evaluation can be solved to a certain extent. For illustration, an example of cadre selection is introduced to show that, using AHP to evaluate alternatives in public decision-making, can effectively resolve various problems in performance evaluation and provide strategies. The research results show that the hierarchical structure model can systematically present evaluation information, the single-level ranking can facilitate quantizing criteria and indexes, and the composite ranking can realize comprehensive evaluation. In short, the application of AHP will make public decision-making more scientific.
