Abstract :
The purpose of the paper is to present powers balances in AC circuit containing resistance, inductance and nonlinear element. The voltage of the nonlinear element is assumed in the form of a symmetric rectangular wave with the same polarization as the current of the element. On the base of harmonics balance the equivalent diagrams of nonlinear load have been developed. The equivalent diagram contains resistance and inductance, which depend on the nonlinear element voltage and parameters of the linear part of the circuit. The elements values have been obtained in the form of clear symbolic and exact formulas. The results are useful for analysis of energy flow in the circuit and powers balances discussion. The paper may be the basis for discussion of reactive power definition. It has been shown that for the proposed formula it is possible to balance the reactive power in the circuit.
