Abstract :
A quartz crystal gyro-sensor for detection of two-axial angular velocities is described using a double-ended tuning fork quartz resonator. The resonator was designed by the finite element method (FEM) simulation, and its characteristics were also simulated and the possibility and the problem of the resonator were investigated. Consequently, it was clarified that the gyro-sensor using the double-ended tuning fork quartz resonator was able to detect two-axial angular velocities.
