Abstract
Probability of outage is an important parameter for capacity evaluation of a cellular CDMA system. A mathematical formulation with closed form expression for outage probability for integrated voice and data services has been proposed. The correlation between signal and interference is also considered in evaluating the outage. It is observed that considering the correlation a significant reduction in outage probability is obtained compared to the model of Ayyagari et al., 1999
