Abstract :
This paper presents a system that works in real time, designed for monitoring emotional states by evaluating the electrical resistance of the skin. The system is based on a microcontroller that communicates by Bluetooth protocol with a PC computer on that a virtual instrument is running. The system will be used to evaluate the teaching methods and the way they generate emotions to the people involved in the educational process. The principle underlying the device is the changing of the electrical resistance of the skin due to chemical reactions that occur when the emotional states generated by processing information occur. The system acquires data simultaneously from several subjects and saves them for further analysis.
