Abstract :
The Barringer IONSCAN Model 400, an ion mobility spectrometer, is used extensively at airports around the world for the detection of traces of explosives on carry-on luggage, hold luggage, mail and freight. It enables the operator to quickly screen suspicious objects for the presence of explosives residues on their surfaces
