  • Abstract
    A system review of the RF subsystems of IFF transponders, troposcatter receivers and SATCOM receivers is presented. The quantity potential for S and X band IFF transponders establishes a baseline requirement. From this, the feasibility of a common design for these and other receivers is evaluated. Goals are established for a GaAs MMIC device and related local oscillator preselector and self test components.
