Abstract :
In the present study divergence operator is exploited with the aim to improve the frequency regulation in a distribution network weakly connected to the transmission grid. A novel regulator has been investigated to drive a storage device with the target to improve the system dynamic behavior. The proposed approach has been implemented in a dedicated dynamic simulation tool. The performance of the divergence based regulator has been evaluated with respect to the respond of a classical frequency regulator (based on local measure).
