Abstract :
As the requirement of Internet scale, function and performance is becoming higher, Internet taken IPv4 as its kernel technology faces more and more challenges. This paper analyzes the embodiment and problems to be solved with respect to multi-dimensional extendibility of next-generation Internet architecture; at the same time, it gives the definition and basic elements of multi-dimensional extendibility, and makes a further study on addressing architecture based on true IPv6 source address as well as some related protocols of next-generation Internet.
