Abstract :
This paper simulates the operation of an established broadband ATM exchange (Roxanne) carrying a range of realistic traffic types. These simulations were implemented on a range of different SISD machines as well as a parallel TMS320C40 DSP architecture in order to ascertain whether the simulation times can be reduced. Performance results were obtained as a means of ensuring that each machine was computing the same amount of information
