Abstract :
This article discusses the users´ privacy issues when they learn in Libray2.0. The authors classify learners´ privacy issues in Library2.0 into four categories: users´ personal information, users´ seeking behavior privacy, threat from the third party and affiliated links, and leak of users´ private documents. In order to protect users´ privacy, various privacy-enhancing measures should be adopted. In authors´ opinion, privacy protection should not only be approached as a technical concern, but also a social consideration. These measures include privacy protection principle, privacy policy statements, users´ anonymity or pseudonymity, technologies methods, and librarians´ efforts. Moreover, the authors present that trust is an important concern in e-learning systems in Library2.0. It is of significance for librarians to help users find the appropriate balance between sharing information and protecting privacy. Relevant suggestions are put forward.
