  • Abstract
    We have constructed an scanning tunneling microscope (STM) appropriate for application in air. Observation is possible in wide range from subnanometer order to micrometer order. Reliable and convenient operation is performed by rigid and symmetric mechanical structure of the STM unit with vibration isolate system.
