Abstract :
Attention is given to an analysis of finite by infinite arrays of printed dipoles. A finite by infinite array is a rectangular antenna that is considered to be of infinite length whereas no limitation is imposed on the width. This type of analysis is considered to be of interest in the case of SAR antennas where the length to width ratio is typically in the order of ten. The exact spectral-domain Green´s functions are used in a Galerkin-type moment method solution. In general this procedure requires a double infinite-range integration to evaluate the moment method coupling coefficients. However, in the finite by infinite case, this reduces to an infinite summation by infinite integration. The integrals in questions are inherently slow converging and a method for efficient and numerically stable evaluation is presented
